that have a continuous transmission.
To lock out a channel, manually select the channel, then
press Func + L/O. In the display L/O appears.
Note: You can still manually select locked-out channels.
To remove the lockout from a channel, manually select
the channel, then press Func + L/O. Now L/O will
disappear.
To unlock all channels, press Hold to stop scanning, then
press Func and press and hold L/O until the scanner
beeps twice.
Priority
The priority feature lets you scan through the channels and
still not miss important or interesting calls on specific channels.
You can program one of the stored channels as priority
channel.
If the priority feature is turned on, as the scanner scans the
memory, it checks the priority channel for activity every 2
seconds. The scanner automatically designates the first
channel as priority channel.
Follow these steps to select a different channel as the priority
channel.
Manually select the channel you want to select as the
priority channel.
Press Func + PGM, then press Func + Pri.
P appears to
the left of the selected channel number.
To turn on the priority feature, press Func + Pri during
scanning. PRI appears.
Then the scanner checks the designated priority channel
every 2 seconds.
To turn off the priority feature, press Func + Pri. PRI
disappears.
Using Keylock
Use the scanner's keylock to protect it from accidental
program changes. When the scanner's keys are locked, the
only controls that operate are
Scan, Func, Hold, , and .
To turn on keylock, press Func + . appears.
To turn off keylock, press Func + . disappears.
Note: Using keylock does not prevent the scanner from
scanning channels.
